The Google Analytics Campaign URL Builder is now live and available for use. This is an advanced version of the Google Analytics URL builder that allows website marketers to define traffic sources to analyse exactly which elements within various campaigns drove particular results.

Please note that this app does not require access to your Google Analytics profile data.

The advanced options include:

1) Default values for sources and mediums; including paid search (Yahoo and Bing), social media (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Myspace, Linkedin), content networks (Tacoda, DoubleClick, Adbrite, Facebook, Myspace), email, affiliates and offline (TV, print, radio) campaigns.

2) The no override parameter (utm_nooverride) to choose whether to attribute the first referral (traffic source) to your conversions instead of the default last referral.

3) Short URLs creation for easy distribution across your various marketing channels. You have the option of using htaccess redirection or a PHP file if you’re on an Apache server, ASP or even just a bit.ly short URL. All four options create short URLs that can be more easily shared and distributed on various promotion channels.

Don’t forget to subscribe to the email newsletter using the box on the right for more updates.

Comments and feedback are always appreciated.
